SpaceX's US$40 billion Nvidia financing spotlights rise of AI compute as an asset class
SpaceX is seeking roughly US$40 billion in financing to fund purchases of Nvidia AI chips, in a deal led by Apollo Global Management that could become one of the largest examples yet of compute hardware being financed as long-duration infrastructure.
